Getting Started with OriginsBot
From download to your first automated task in a few minutes
Requirements
System
- Mac: Apple Silicon (M1 or later)
- macOS: 14 or later
- Memory: each running copy of the game uses memory; more lets you run more accounts at once
- Internet: a stable connection
Software
- PlayCover 4.0 or later: runs the iPad version of Age of Origins on the Mac (the Setup Assistant installs it)
- Age of Origins 1.3.841 or later: one copy per account, logged in
- OriginsBot: from the beta page or Discord
Quick start
Install OriginsBot
Open the downloaded .dmg and drag OriginsBot to your Applications folder. Sign in with the email you subscribed or signed up for the beta with.
Run the PlayCover Setup Assistant
Choose PlayCover (Recommended) when OriginsBot asks how to connect. The assistant installs PlayCover, adds the game (one copy per account), asks for Screen Recording, and installs the input bridge.

Open each copy of Age of Origins, log in to its account and leave it on the city view. Each copy appears on the OriginsBot dashboard.
Game instances →Add tasks and press Play
Use Add Action on a card to add Collect, Gather, Train and more, then press Play at the top of the dashboard.
Creating tasks →Keep it running
Keep the games on the same desktop as OriginsBot, and the Mac awake.
Running reliably →Before you start
One device per account
Camel Games only allows an account to be active on one device at a time. Logging in on your phone or tablet disconnects the copy OriginsBot is running. OriginsBot taps Try Again or Reconnect on connection dialogs, but the two sessions will keep pushing each other off.
Using BlueStacks?
BlueStacks is still supported: choose ADB (BlueStacks) when OriginsBot asks, or switch in Settings › Connection Type. See the BlueStacks guide. PlayCover is recommended for new setups.
